ABOUT BIG TIMBER COLLIES

Big Timber Collies is located in Hinckley, Illinois. We are an Illinois Collie Breeder committed and privileged to breed genetically sound Rough Sable Collie puppies. Our Pedigree Collies live in the country on a Tree Farm. As a Illinois Collie Breeder our collies are like family members, they enjoy the fresh country air and wide open spaces to run and play. We have been married for 32 years and have always had our companions. We are part of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources Forest Management Plan, and have added 2700 trees to our farm.

As an Illinois Collie Breeder we strive to have healthy, normal eyed, even tempered, gorgeous collie puppies. Our collies look just like the Lassie dog we remember from the T.V. show. Our farm gals tag along with us as we do our yard work. They jump in the golf cart and enjoy a nice ride. If we paint the house they like to carry the brushes away. If my husband is working on the car the collies have their nose under the car too. Our collies are always doing things together, they are wonderful, affectionate companions.

As an Illinois Collie Breeder our Collie puppies are sensitive and responsive dogs, bred to be kind and gentle. They respond quickly to commands. They bond quickly to family members. They are wonderful with children. Collies also like to just sit and be next to you, they always want your companionship.

Our collies can’t wait until our son gets home from school. They know it’s time to go out and play. AKC collie puppies bark a greeting when they see him. We are teaching our young son through our collies puppies the responsibilities required to be an Illinois Collie breeder. Our son takes them for walks or they chase him on his go cart. They also like to chase and herd our outside cats. The cats get along with them and like to be chased, they run with their tail up and just fast enough to stay out of reach. When the dogs are sitting outside, the cats go sit right next to them.

Collies do need to be brushed to keep their beautiful fur coat nice and glossy. When they see us coming with the brush they roll over so we can start on their belly. We enjoy our Rough Sable Collies and being a loving, responsible Illinois Collie Breeder. Our AKC/CKC Collie puppies will give you years of loyalty, unending love and happiness that is something we think is priceless.
